It concluded yesterday on the soggy links at Baltusrol, where for the fourth time this year a major was grasped by a first-time winner, in this case, Jimmy Walker. Walker led the 98th PGA from first day to last stroke, although his victory was not without a fight. Defending champion Jason Day gave Walker more of a battle than he put up fighting the idea not to represent his native Australia at the Rio Games next week.
